Organizations across the food supply chain are continuously asked to do “more with less,” which requires businesses to rely heavily on a network of vendor partnerships to save money, meet company objectives, and ensure consumer food safety. By building an interconnected network of vendor partners, companies across the end-to-end cold supply chain are exceeding the customers’ expectations and requirements. Food manufacturers, distributors, and retail establishments should be considering innovative ways—like leveraging data into actionable information by using technology—to build new or enhance existing supplier relationships within their organizations and supply chain to achieve success. Doing so will help maintain business continuity and prepare themselves for the New Era of Smarter Food Safety.
