Controlant's journey to a B Supplier Engagement Rating

CDP evaluates organizations' engagement with their suppliers on climate change. By evaluating supplier engagement and recognizing best practices, CDP aims to accelerate global action on supply chain emissions. Controlant disclosed its environmental impact through CDP as published in February 2024, for which Controlant received a B- rating, reflecting the company’s coordinated actions on climate issues.

In the Supplier Engagement Rating, CDP assesses company performance on governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions, and value chain engagement using the CDP climate change questionnaire. Controlant is proud to have obtained a B rating on CDP Supplier Engagement, in line with its commitment to reporting on environmental, social, and governance matters, and its vision of zero-waste pharma supply chains.

Amplifying our impact

According to the CDP, an organization’s average upstream emissions are around 11.5 times greater than their direct operations. Because of this, organizations have much greater potential to reduce global emissions by influencing their supply chains.

Controlant is proud to have received an above-industry and global average rating when it comes to its engagement with suppliers on climate issues.

“As a company driven by the mission to eliminate waste in the pharmaceutical supply chain, we are fully aware of the scale of impact that supply chains have within and beyond an industry,” says Vicki Preibisch, VP of Sustainability at Controlant. “To that end, we are committed to making a positive impact on climate issues through supply chains. Reporting on our progress is an essential foundation for data-driven decision-making and driving continuous progress.
