Gísli Herjólfsson

Co-CEO and Co-founder

Gísli Herjólfsson is one of the founders of Controlant and has driven the company's strategy and growth for the past 17 years. He is passionate about helping pharmaceutical companies to keep patients safe and ensure global access to life-saving medicines. He has a Master's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iceland.

Trausti Thormundsson

Co-CEO and Co-founder

Trausti Thórmundsson is a co-founder of the company and has served on the Board of Directors since 2007. As an experienced tech executive, he has led business units in the US and in Iceland and managed advanced R&D teams at Conexant, Synaptics, and Google to develop commercially successful technologies. Trausti holds an M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Stanford University and a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iceland.

Carsten Lützhøft

CPO

Carsten Lützhøft has extensive experience of Process Digitalization in the global pharma manufacturing and pharma supply chain sectors. He also serves as board member and advisory board chairman in scale-up companies within the aviation and health tech industries.

Hristo Petkov

SVP Sales

Hristo Petkov joined Controlant in 2022. He initiated and built the pharma vertical at A.P. Moller-Maersk from scratch, leading engagement with large pharma customers and working in other roles related to cold chain and trade lanes.

Trine Kragelund

SVP Customer Success

Trine Kragelund has a rich background in Global Key Account Management, Sales, Consulting, and Digital Transformation, primarily in the technology sector with firms like Microsoft, Oracle, and ServiceNow. As an Equity Partner in Technology Consulting at EY, she led the Tech Transformation team. Her work focuses on digital transformation, C-level advisory, and tech sustainability, driving value for global enterprise customers and advancing internal collaboration.

Brian Mcgonigal

VP Sales

A seasoned cold chain expert, Brian joined Controlant in October 2023. He was Vice President at Cold Chain Consulting and brings over 20 years of experience in global sales operations, business development, and account management within the pharmaceutical industry.

Anders Sylvest Hansen

Special Logistics Engagement Director, Partnerships

Anders Sylvest, with 9+ years in commercial development and leadership, has a strong background in pharmaceuticals. He's committed to delivering zero-waste supply chains, improving business and team performance through new opportunities and real-time visibility.

Christian Tørnqvist

VP Sales

Christian has more than 25 years' experience in pharma and has held leadership positions within large enterprise digital transformation projects. He has commercial experience leading large engagement and complex RFPs, and his main focus has always been to bring maximum value to his clients, through a consulting approach.

Adalheidur Pálmadóttir

VP Business Development

Ada leads the global roll-out of Controlant’s real-time supply chain visibility solutions. She is an expert in sales, operations, and marketing, specifically in the areas of product, vertical alliance sales, and partnerships related to pharmaceutical products. She is a licensed pharmacist with an MBA degree.

Martin Mularski

Director Customer Success

Martin has been with Controlant since the start of 2020 and has recently transitioned into his new Director of Customer Experience - Partnerships role. With 10+ years of logistics experience and a degree in International Business and Supply Chain Management, he has supported our Pharma and Logistics customers in the rollout of their global distribution projects.

Ulrich Nissen

VP Business Expansion

Ulrich is an experienced executive with focus on Account Management, Business Development and internationalization. He has a demonstrated history of working in successful scale-ups and in global organizations within IoT, SaaS, Automation, Robotics, Logistics and Supply Chain management.

Rachel Adams

Customer Success Manager

Rachel joined Controlant 5 years ago, bringing a variety of experience within business development, sales and customer success from SaaS and IoT industries. Managing our key pharma customers, she is committed to ensuring that they realize the value of the Controlant proposition, offering insight on how automation and digitalization enables sustainability and reduces waste within the supply chain.
